My client has been told that hosting her blog on blogger’s website will not drive traffic to her own website. I’ve heard this before also, but I’m not sure how accurate it is.

Regardless of SEO, is there a way to host it on her server? She uses bluehost, if that matters.

Thanks,

Doty

Doty,

I imagine that you’re talking about SEO? I advise you change the blog’s address from a .blogspot to one from your client’s domain (e.g. [flowersongherbals.com/blog](http://flowersongherbals.com/blog)). You can do this in Blogger’s basic settings.

Also, Blogger now lets you remove the ugly top bar from a blog. I think that would be in the layout settings.

Using these two methods would virtually eliminate any references to blogger whatsoever.

Ah, I missed your second paragraph. No, you can’t host a blogger blog on your own server. However, following my above steps should fool all visitors and _partially_ fool search engines.
