Hi all, I look after the site for a family run hotel - they would like bookings for the hotel and restaurant online. They miss quite a lot of bookings and want to be more efficient, they are quite open minded. I haven’t done this type of thing before so if it isn’t easy I wouldn’t mind someone setting this up for me for a fee. I can’t afford to mess this up as it’s a working business. Advice and some suggestions on the best way to play this would be great. The site is www.soughtonhall.co.uk
I’d look at integrating a system already running such as http://www.freetobook.com. I’d just do a link or use an iframe to drop it into your site (deprecated in HTML5 but works with lower). Especially if there’s not much money in it.,
I have used PHP Jabbers Booking script before and like all their scripts it’s quite easy to include within a FW site.
I stumbled on Lodgify a while back and bookmarked it. Looks very slick and includes all the cool bits like online payments, social media responsive etc. - http://www.lodgify.com
Thanks for the replys, the freetobook option looks good but they also have a restaurant which they want to be able to book and pay for online. Are there any similar options for a notice like me, the coding on the jabbers puts me off to be honest. If anybody has experience with this type of thing I’m happy to get a cost for someone else to help with this.
