If you have control over the domain name server for the old domain,
you can easily point that domain at your new server’s IP address, then
configure your new server to respond to that old domain with the
content of the new site by using the SiteAlias property in Apache’s
configuration files.

Doing this is probably going to do something negative to your search
engine mojo. If you care about that, then you should set up a new site
for the old domain, and set a 301 (Moved Permanently) redirect on that
server to the new one, which will preserve your SEO ranking while
getting rid of the bouncing old site.

Eventually you will stop getting traffic at the old domain and you can
take that site down.
