[Pro] Buttons made in Photoshop

Hello, I have made a button in photoshop and then sliced it and finished it in image ready. When previewed in image ready the button works great but can I then import the button into freeway as a working button without having to rebuild the slices in freeway?

Hi Anton,

the answer could be quite simple, but without any specific details it´s harder. I suppose that you mean something with rollover.

General answer:

You can put a .psd file into a freeway document by drag and drop. There is no need to make slices or to work in another prog. Means:

Build your normal instance in Photoshop.
Build your hover in Photoshop. Save that for web.

Draw a grafik item in freeway, load your normal instance, apply the rollover-action, in there you click on mouse-over and apply your web saved hover. Play with the settings and you have a rollover without any slicing or stuff like that.

Thanks thomas, yeah makes more sense to do it that way, better workflow.

I would also check if the button could be created entirely in Freeway?

The graphic actions work a treat for creating buttons - subtle drop shadows, gradients etc. It would save a round trip to photoshop and back.
