I did a stupid thing… whilst in PC mode of my iMac, I deleted a couple of folders on the desktop only to realise that I deleted it also from the Mac DT. How can I download from my web provider? ANy help will be great. Thanks. - Mike

Use an ftp program ie. yummy or cyberduck (free) or access via your server control panel. I assume your just talking about the html files and resources folder etc and that you haven’t deleted your FW file.

Did you delete the FW file or just the site folder?

Did you empty the trash?

Any files on the server are html files and images so aren’t really any use to FW as the cannot be effectively imported.

A disk recovery app may well be able to recover deleted FW files, especially if it was quite recent and you haven’t had a lot of disk activity.

There are articles in the Softpress Knowledgebase about methods to quickly rebuild a site.

thank you for your come-back so quickly. It’s ok - I have a backup folder complete - all that I have to do is amend what I have and upload… that will be the quickest thing, I think. Thanks for your help. - Mike

If you have still got the FW file and Resources then there is no reason or need to download the html as you can regenerate it by republishing the site.
