[Pro] Can I lock my Styles?

In 6 Pro, can I LOCK my styles? I have it down to 27 permanent ones that meet all my style needs. Sometimes I’ll finish a new page and find that I’ve inadvertently created a stray temporary style or two. I don’t want that. So I’m inquiring if FW 6 Pro has a feature to lock the styles and only allow new ones with some kind of unlocking first.

can I LOCK my styles?

Nope - cant do it.

It is down to careful style management and applying one of your existing styles in place of the temporary one. It can be tricky as often you need a particular style attribute that you didn’t think of in your original plan.

You might be interested in creating your own ‘master template’ here. Just create your own blanc Freeway document, with all CSS styles created, page actions applied, your personal standards set, what not … and save that one as Template, importing the sucker into Freeway so it sits next to the default templates.

Your own template, as Richard suggests… also, get used to setting up styles
for standard items like paragraphs and headings. Then you will find that
you spend less time adjusting the look of things, and giving Freeway Pro
less opportunities to make auto-styles.

Leaving the Styles palette open while you work is also a good way to see
when FWP adds an auto-style (.style123) to the mix. The earlier you
correct FWP’s behavior with this will mean you have greater control further
on in the projects.
