[Pro] Cannot update site

Made changes to my site but changes do not appear on web. I hit “publish site” when completing changes. Revised site overwrites old site and also tried deleting old site first but old site keeps coming up.

Have you tried clearing the cache in your browser - or control-R a few times to force download the page?

Did you actually upload?

Publish only revises your local site folder (on your Mac)

I’ve uploaded many times through Freeway. Even tried Cyberduck.

Have also hit refresh a bunch of times.

Post a link to your site and tell us something that should be changed so that we can tell if it might be a cache issue.

my site is josephmarcou.com

Within Paintings/Prints/11 x 14 Prints I have added 3 more thumbnails at the bottom of the lineup; blueberries, bananas and mushrooms, plus a redirection arrow. None appear on the web. Other changes as well.

OK - just go through your upload process for us.

There is a missing graphic (Resources/index2.gif) on your index page - which suggests to me that the upload is incomplete.

Do you see all the changes when you preview locally?

Double check that you have the correct path in your upload settings in FW and then create a new site folder (in the Finder) and then choose it in File >Document Setup

Publish to the new site folder - preview locally and make sure that all is correct.

If you are happy that it is all complete locally then File >Upload to your server and before you click OK to start the upload - check again that the Server and Directory paths are correct (often /public_html/)

Seems to be resolved. Remade the site on new document, uploaded and seems to be OK with all items. Thank you all for help.

It is worth trying to Publish to a newly created site folder in an instance like this.

Often that is all it takes - well worth trying before you start remaking pages.

Anyway, we are pleased that your problem is sorted.

And welcome to FWT
