[Pro] Can't change photos in templates

I can’t figure out how to change photo images in the purchased templates. I can add a new photo but I can’t change the stock photos in the templates. I can change text. Just not photo images.

I have spent hours trying every possible thing the video instructions suggest and many others. At wits end.

Please advise

Haven’t worked with templates myself, and this is possibly a silly question, but have you tried selecting the element and going to Edit > Delete Content? That will leave the existing element empty in which you can import your desired image.

What else have you tried?

Delete Content is grayed out. It will not allow me to perform that function. If I select Delete, the image along with all the space is deleted. If I then add a new image, the programming is jacked up and it will not look or work right.

As I believe all purchased templates are Responsive and thus most likely made with inline layouts (boxes nested inside of other boxes) this means that the images are an element inside of another box. Clicking on desired items in the layout can be tricky, so click on what seems to be the image container and then look in the Site Folder list on the left and be sure that it is the actual image selected, not it’s parent container (should look like an outline with the image being the most fully indented). Then see if Delete Content comes up as an option.

Nope. I have clicked all over the darn place. I can’t make the Delete Content menu active. I have spent about 4 or 5 hours trying over and over with no progress. I screw up the template, delete it, and start over again. This is not fun. Got to sleep now.

I understand your frustration. But did you sent a mail to the seller (Softpress) also? They should offer descent instructions or advice you what to do.

Hi Murray,

The Readme page (it’s one of the Masters) has details on changing the images. If you continue to have problems after reading that, let me know.

Thanks for your reply. Where is this BodyWrapper1 menu option? I read the README but cannot find anything that looks close to what is in the README. It is like the README is for some other software. I am using Freeway Pro 7.0.1. on a iMac running Yosemite 10.10.1 using the ASSISTANT template. I a a new user but I can read. I like the software but I cannot seem to get past this. How do I change the photo on the Home Page of the ASSISTANT template?

Hi Murray,
I don’t have the Assistant template but looking at the preview of the file on the Softpress site it looks like the main image has been placed using a background image. If my assumptions are correct you should be able to follow these simple steps to replace the image for your own;

Wow. A picture is worth a thousand words. The 3 images finally communicated how this works. If you have never seen this procedure, words fall short of explanation. I followed the steps highlighted and voila. After I completed the steps the process made sense. You nailed it. Thank you so much.
