[Pro] Can't upload after small edit

I seem to be having this problem on a regular basis. I have a site which hosts audio messages. I record these on a Sunday (mostly) upload them via my hosting control panel, add the speakers name and details within the Freeway action audio.js. I find that, if I am uploading the audio file via another ftp program, then I cannot upload the Freeway file at the same time - it just hangs and I get the beachball of death. I have learned to have patience and wait till the audio file is uploaded first, then upload the FW file. Tonight though, no matter what I do, it will not upload at all - beachball appears after about a few seconds and stays that way until I force quit the program - I am now completely stuck, even after a reboot of my computer, deleting and re-entering the audio.js action, still it will not respond when I try to upload. Any idea’s - is there a cache file I can delete, or something?

Have you tried changing the FTP protocol settings within Freeway?

Hi Richard, thanks for your reply. If by ‘protocol’ you mean the ‘FTP mode’ selector, I tried it on ‘passive’ non-passive’ and ‘automatic’ - just in case. FW wouldn’t even get to the upload part anyway, it wouldn’t even do the ‘build site’ bit before it gets to the upload.
I have now fixed it, but I still don’t know the reason why this is happening. I tried doing a ‘publish’ command - that wouldn’t work, I then tried selecting the ‘preview in browser’ button and that produced the same results ie Freeway is not responding.

At last I tried deleting pages until I eventually found a rogue one. I needed this page too and didn’t have a recent backup of it so I was concerned that this one page was going to stop me publishing my site.

After many force quits and re-starts I got it to work by cutting a div frame which contained a few audio.js actions then repasting it back in. I do not know why this happened and it wasted a lot of valuable time, so it would be interesting to find out what went wrong so that I can avoid that happening again.
