[Pro] carousel how to

Hi everyone,

could anyone give me an advice whether the following is possible. Started to build a site:

http://tradstone.figuredrawingonline.com/

and the client wants to have images rotating automatically as the page loads. So far so good. What he wants is for the three panels to start with the image there is now and then to show different images for some time in each panel and then sync up again to show one image split in 3 windows. Then go out of sync again to show different images in all three panes and then sync up. I’m assuming two cycles would be more than adequate. Is this achievable in FW Pro 5.5? Thanks for any advice in advance.

You dont need a carousel to do this. You could use scriptyfader or sequence timer.

The way I would do it is to use not lots of images but several images in threes as 1 image.

So you have image a (1,2 and 3) displayed fades to image b (4, 5 and 6) then image c (7.8 and 9) where 1,2 and 3 are slices of 1 image 4,5 and 6 are independent images and 7,8 and 9 are slices of another image. Rinse and repeat.

Hi David,

thanks for your reply. Would this mean that because I have 3 window panes, I would have to do 3 sets of “Target Show/Hide Layer” action working with 3 sets of “Sequence Timer” action? I’m just thinking…the sequence timer is a page action, right? The information I found suggests not to use more than one “Sequence Timer” action per page. Would this create a problem? Many thanks.

You could do it with 1 and just make your image look like 3 separate ones and you would only need 1 sequence timer.
