Somehow the second page cited has its Buttons cycling through the Panes in an order different from the Tabs in the list on the right. Probably because I created a new Pane after some others, and wanted it to come before them in the Button flip-through order?
So, now that I’ve got all these Panes, how do I convince the Button to show them in a particular order? Any help greatly appreciated.
The order is defined by the order of the panes in your page. You can
see this order by clicking on the little disclosure triangle to the
left of your page name in the Site panel, or by going to that page and
then clicking on the header at the top of the Site panel. (When you
click Site, it toggles over to read Page, and only shows the items on
the current page; another click brings it back to the Site view.)
You’ll note that the Carousel and all of the Panes have a little
Action Gear icon on them, and any other object you may have applied an
Action to will as well. But that does help narrow down which is which.
So just click and drag on the items to change their sort order in this
list. Their position in x/y space should not be affected, but their
stacking order (z) will, and so will their order of placement in the
effect.
