I’m trying to figure out how Carousel Text Tab works and I need a little help. Also, will Carousel Tab Text allow multiple links within the same line of text? I’m thinking about using it for navigational purposes, something like this:

Carousel Text Tab works like any other inline Action that makes text. You place it inline within an HTML box, just as if it was a character of text or an inline image. Then you click once on the Action item, look in the Actions palette, and use the interface there to create the text that will appear as your link.
You only get one link per instance of the Action, but you can have multiple instances of the Action in the same text box if you want. Your example sounds like you want a text version of the Carousel Button Action, but there isn’t one of those.
You use Text Tab to link to an individual pane of your Carousel.

Thanks Walter. I ended up using the Carousel Tabs action instead, which works great.
It’s been a few hours and no Carousel timeout errors, which is good news. Not sure what triggers that problem or how it was resolved. More often than not a second publish will resolve whatever issue it was having.
