[Pro] Carousel

I am new to Freeway and have just installed carousel and am having trouble aligning images as they slide one to another. They are photos and am using a combination of landscape and portrait photos so the issue is with the placement of the photos so they all line up or are centered when you scroll from one to another? I know it is a simple question but am really frustrated.

Try making your picture boxes square (hold down the Shift key while
you draw one), then scale the images to fit: (Shift - Option - Command

  • F). This will automatically center them in the box, either
vertically or horizontally, and your carousel should line up perfectly.

Many thanks Walter,
After I wrote that I did actually figure out a way to do just exactly what you told me, but by a different means. I do have one more question though, how many photos can you put in one carousel before it gets bogged down with loading time issues?

When you put pictures in a carousel, you are simply placing them on
the page. So a good way to figure this out is to put all the pictures
you would like to see on a single page, fully visible, and see how
large a page that publishes to be. Adding the carousel Action will add
about 235K to the page. If you’re catering to broadband visitors, then
try to keep it under 1MB all in. If you want it to load swiftly, then
try to keep it to half that.
