[Pro] CAROUSEL

Hi there!
I am desperately trying to use the “carousel” action, but when I try to preview the page, a window appears that tells me that there is a java-script error.
I downloaded the “carousel example document” from the walterdavisstudio site, but the problem is the same. java-script error.
Anyone can help?
thanks
ciao

Have you downloaded the very latest version from ActionsForge? Did you try creating a test carousel from scratch, simply following the directions? Do you have any other Actions applied to the page?

Hi Walter!
No other actions in the page. I downloaded the version I found in action forge (1.2.15). The fact is that also your example doesn’t work. I didn’t update to the latest version of Freeway pro (I’m running 5.4.2). Could it be?
thanx!

Freeway version won’t matter much. I am still running 5.4.2 here, and
it works fine. I am not sure what version that example file is in, you
might want to delete that and try the following (which should just
work):

  1. New document, XHTML or HTML 4 Strict. Make sure the CSS Layout
    button is on.
  2. Draw an HTML box where you want the effect to appear. Color it some
color using the Inspector. While it’s still selected (handles showing
at the corners and sides), duplicate it and drag the copy off to the
    pasteboard somewhere.
  3. Select the first box and apply the Carousel Action to it.
  4. Select the second box and apply the Carousel Pane Action to it.
Make sure the name of the first box appears in the Target picker in
the Actions palette. Also change its color to a different color so you
can see the panes change later.
  5. Draw a graphic box left of the first HTML box, give it a color, and
apply the Carousel Button Action to it. Set its Scroll Direction to
Previous, and make sure that your first HTML box appears as its
Target. Duplicate this button graphic and move it to the right side of
the HTML box, and change the Scroll Direction to Next.

Preview in Freeway or a browser. Clicking the buttons should move the
carousel effect back and forth. No errors should appear when
publishing. At least, that’s what’s happening here.

If you do get an error, take a screenshot of it and post it on a Web
server somewhere and post a link to it here. I may be able to tell
more about what’s happening if you do that.
