I have several SWF files, that are mostly text and I have created html boxes for them. Every “align” option is greyed out for these…Is there no place to center them?

What exactly are you trying to center - the text in the html container, the content in the container or the html box on the page?
The Flash text alignment obviously cannot be influenced by FW as it is a graphic file.
The Flash content can be aligned in the html box if it is placed within another container first whether that is a graphic box or html one. Treat it as if it was text ie with your flashing cursor inside the container select Apple A (Edit>Select All) and then click your center align button.
If you have your flash file in an html container inline within another html container you can select the margin option and choose Auto.

This was covered earlier. You can’t align an object within itself;
you’ll need to put that as an inline object inside another HTML box.
Or do you mean that’s how it is now? Then select it all, as if it was
text, and use the regular text align controls.
