Please have a look at this page in my site:
http://visionsecurity.jp/event.html
Note the table items in the body of the page. They are marked 1, 2, 3, etc. Each table item refers to a retail store. When placed on the page, each of these table items is a child of that large, light-gray box.
As time goes on, I reuse the same stores (table items) over and over. So in Freeway, all of my unused table items are stored in the Pasteboard. And whenever I take them off the page for storage in the Pasteboard, I have to untick “Publish” or else the Pasteboard table items will be partly viewable in the browser. And, I must make all table items stored in the Pasteboard to be children of “the page.” (Otherwise I cannot drag a marquee over them to select them.)
Of course, I sometimes need to create new retail store table items; and today this caused a problem for me. I was moving one table item off the Page and into the Pasteboard, making it a child of “the page.” At that point, FW coughed up this dialog:
“Some items will not fit in the new parent item. Do you want to resize the parent item?”
Since the “parent item” is “the page,” I of course do NOT want to resize it. But if I don’t, the table item I am moving into the Pasteboard won’t fit – it will need to remain a child of that gray box, given me selection problems.
Therefore my query is this. How should I best handle a situation like this? And is it possible for me to make my table items “children of nothing”? That would be a wonderful blessing, as it would eliminate this “wont fit” error dialog, and it probably would eliminate my having to untick “Publish” whenever I take my table items off the page.
I look forward to your advice.
Thank you,
James Wages
