[Pro] Click Item on Page Load?

Does anyone know of an Action that would simply click an item on Page Load?

I’m trying to do a slide show style gallery with a stack of images and Target Show/Hide Layer (Restore:Sticky) triggered by thumbnails with Rollovers.

Link: http://www.luthringer.com/2012Tests/target.html#
(click on any thumbnail to get the large images going; also, each large image will trigger the next one).

The problem is the visibility of an initial image. Make it Hidden, and you have the viewer start with an empty image area. Make it Visible, and it interferes with the display and/or fades of the other images. As far as I know,
there is no combination of ‘Initially’ and ‘Restore’ that will deal with this issue.

If I could just make the initial image ‘Hidden’, leave ‘Restore’ on Sticky, and have it be clicked on load, everything would be perfect!
Please don’t tell me to use Showcase. I love Showcase, it’s awesome, but I don’t want to use it here.

Thanks Much!

The secret to this is to have a duplicate of the first image that has no actions applied to it that sits at the bottom of your stack.

This means that it is always there but the other images appear over the top of it.

It does require that all the images or their containers are bigger than the one on the bottom so that the new ones hide the one that is always there.

Thanks Dave

I thought of that, but the problem with that approach is that the image left at the bottom of the stack is visible during the transitions- very messy looking and unacceptable. Am I missing something?

It shouldn’t be - this page uses exactly that method.

Thanks Much Dave!

That image is visible during your transitions. It’s just hard to catch. Many of my images have hard edges (as in a building against the sky), so this transition problem would be more visible. Plus my images are of varying sizes and orientations. So the image on the bottom shows clearly where it extends beyond the image above (as in when there is a vertical image coming up in front of a horizontal left at the bottom). I know I could build the images out to be all squares of the same dimensions (this wouldn’t solve the transition problem), but this would require a big re-working of my layout. (Notice how the images are able to sit both below and to the right of my logo).

I am so very close here, but there always seems to be something
keeping me from getting exactly what I want.

Item Click anyone?!
