[Pro] CMS Slideshow screenwide

I have been looking, looking and looking for a slideshow
were in the customer can update/upload pictures himself in a very easy way. The slideshow will be published on the customers website. The pictures should be enlarged and clicking from one to the next picture can be automatically or manually

I proposed to use Flickr as uploading is very easy here and the looks are nice in the website and can be enlarged over the whole screen. The customer does not at all like it that when you click on one of the pictures in the slideshow, it brings you to Flickr. The customer gave an example of what he likes: http://www.autospuiterijmooij.nl/portfolio.htm

One last thing is that it should be a free solution.

Any suggestions for the right solution please?

I think that showcase can do this for you.

Actually the only thing that may be a bit more challenging is making it useable for your client to manage the images? Need some more thought on this.

Johan,

Have a look at PulseCMS. Not free but not expensive. Your client can upload and delete images accordingly.

What about Visual Slideshow? anybody?

Or is there a way to use iphoto? to use it like it works with flickr or picasa?

What you want to achieve is to me (looking at your example) a simple Gallery with Lightbox effect that can be done for example with webyep. An example I’ve got here and here:

Or do I miss here something?

Cheers

Showcase is not the solution. You can’t get a screenwide view and CMS is out of the question.

All the best for now

thanks for all your input but so far no suitable result that meeds the requirements. I had thought that my question would be an easy one for Freeway but seems not.

Johan,

Do you have an example of what you are looking for? The example you give is the lightbox method, which is very easy to do in Freeway.

Perhaps your thinking of something like SlideshowPro or Simple viewer that can go into a full screen mode. Both easy to use with FW.

Seores,

What you say sounds good, full screen mode is not an absolute must, but enlarge is. And CMS has to be really like for dummy’s

Johan,

The only option I can see given your client has already indicated a ‘lightbox’ option is PulsePro. They will still require a degree of intelligence and discipline though to use it but its not rocket science. Here is what it can look like: porkbun.com | parked domain

Or try the demo: porkbun.com | parked domain Once into the ‘Blocks’ section, click on ‘Galleries’ on the left hand side to see how to delete and update etc.

Both are, as I wrote WebYep Galleries as my preferred CMS System. But Pulse is of course possible too.
