Having a compatibility issue with my personal site http://www.themonkeykingsdaughter.com/ when viewed on a PC (toshiba laptop running vista) with both IE7 and FireFox 3.6.
Naturally there is no problem when viewed on a Mac.
The site does not display properly-- BG missing, many elements invisible.
I’m using HTML 4.01 Transitional in the DOC Setup,
Unix code,
More readable,
Compatibility IE6/7
Are these settings causing the problem?
When I clicked the “compatibility fix” button on IE7 – the site then corrected itself – but the message said it was now displaying the site using “older” parameters.
No clue how to fix the FireFox problem.
Looked at everything on a friends DELL-- and there is no problem-- but it’s an older machine running XP.
How do I fix this issue? What is the proper default HTLM these days?
