For some reason, and I can’t recall why, I placed the following code in the Before section of one of my websites, instead of using the Google Analytics action.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m assuming the code is tracking activity on individual pages. If that’s the case, should I still use the Google Analytics action? If so, what does the Google Analytics Action do that’s different from the code below?
The GA Action just writes this code for you. You paste in the UA-XXXXXX part, and it writes everything else around it.

It would be very helpful, when the action would offer a field, where one can activate easily anonymized analytics. In Germany and perhaps in other countries, it is better to anonymize the code because of privacy protections.
