[Pro] Contact Form

Hey Freeway-ers,

For those not watching the tennis I am hoping that one of you might be able to help me.

I have been running contact forms in all my sites using the php contact form action. All of them have suddenly stopped working and are redirecting to my error pages. I have deleted them and re applied the actions but to no avail. I am also using Bluehost as my server.

Any ideas what might be happening? And if not if anyone knows of ANY good alternatives which allow the appearance to be edited (paid or free) I’d be be grateful of any suggestions.

GO ANDY!

The first thing to do is to make sure you have a different error page set up for each error instance. ie not in domain error, server error and email error

Reupload and see which error you get.

Once you have done that let us know.

Ok, I get server error.

In my host c-panel in php admin I have PHP 5.2 (FastCGI) selected.

I think you have to ask the question of Bluehost to see if/what has changed on the server.

Speaking to Bluehost!. What a joke they are now. I used to be able to do a live chat anytime and get help. They have now changed their live chat to some god awful new interface and you never get to speak to anyone.

Thanks for your help dave.

Ok,

Contacted BH via email re the contact form at the server side and this is the response.

'Thank you for contacting support!

I am sorry this problem happened on your site. You can please simply fix this by changing the sendmail_path line in the php.ini like this(line 683):

sendmail_path = “/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i -r’[email[@[domain.com]'”

Please let us know if this solve the problem. Thank you!’

I’ve asked where should I make this change but no reply as of yet. Does this shed any light on things?

The php.ini is a server-side file - only you can tell if you have access to it through your cPanel.

Dave just wanted to let you know this is now resolved and it was in fact an issue with BH cutting me off. Apparently, and old google apps email address was sending out spam and I had broke their terms of service rules. I fixed that and the fountain of contact form bliss has returned.
