[Pro] Converting GoLive sites?

Newbie here.

Just acquired Freeway Pro, and I see that if it let it open sites created by Adobe GoLive CS2 the results aren’t usable: the resulting Freeway files are far far away from what I see in GoLive and all browsers.

Are there scripts, utilities, tips for how to accomplish this?

Many thanks!!!

As far as I know, it’s start over.

You take snapshots of your site and use them as guides and build over it in Freeway.

Freeway is a code generator, not an editor. It uses a proprietary
internal format not unlike the way Quark uses Postscript which, when
you publish, converts the complex layout you’ve made into good HTML.
Freeway’s format allows you to do some amazingly clever things, and
when it publishes, it ‘dumbs down’ the result so that it’s simple
enough for a browser to understand. It can’t work the other way
around, as the site contents on the server don’t contain the
information that a Freeway site file on your hard disk does. It’d be
like feeding a sheet of paper backwards into your printer and hoping
it would type the contents out on your screen.
There’s a good way to make it all easier though, here:

That might not seem much when you’ve read it, but it has one big thing
going for it: you get to know Freeway really quickly.

That’s true. It is also small consolation - sorry Etnier!

Take heart though, after this point life will get much, much easier.
(Especially if you remember to ask question here when you need
advice.)
