I would contact support(a)softpress.com with any crash info you can gather. I believe they are deeply interested in anything that can force Freeway to quit. They will be able to advise you how to gather the precise info they need to track this down.

Hi, I was looking around the threads to see if anyone else has problems with Freeway 6 Pro crashing a lot. I certainly do. I’m running Mavericks 10.9 on a meaty Mac Pro and Freeway keeps flaking out on me. However, I think it’s something to do with importing text from Microsoft Word.
Whenever I copy and paste text from a MS Word document it crashes Freeway; it must be sent into a spin by hidden styling perhaps? Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience so that someone else might learn to avoid Word. I can’t bear Word really, but Pages doesn’t do a character count with spaces which is crucial in web work.
So, beware Word and Freeway Pro 6 - not happy bed-fellows!

Hi Josephine,
never insert Word text directly into Freeway. This is (beneath crashes) anyway not a recommended practice. The problem here is, that you implant “external” inherited styles from there. Freeway tries its best to process them - but it is mainly an app to generate code - not to import it.
The same happens even with text from PDF (by the way).
Copy the text first in a text-editor (such as TextWrangler) to make it plain-text and then transport it to Freeway.
Have you tried running Disk Utilities from the restore partition? In the past, when I’ve had bugs that no one could duplicate, it was usually due to a failing HD.
Have you tried command-shift-v to paste without styles?

Long ago, I re-mapped these shortcuts so I always paste “plain” when I use Command+V. Keyboard shortcuts pane, somewhere in System Preferences lets you do that.
