[Pro] CSS Menu link problems

I’m having trouble with the link options on a CSS menu.
I select different colours for the links in the actions window i.e. light grey for normal and dark grey for hover but when I view it in browser the hover colour won’t change? Maybe I’m doing something wrong (I am fairly new to FW) but I don’t think so.
Any-one else had this problem? Or any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

I’ve had similar problems. It was easier to just pitch the menu and start fresh rather than trouble shooting the problem. I’ve found this is true with other areas in FW as well

That’s what I first thought (it’s just one of those things - scrap it and start again) so I tried that. Maybe I’ll try again in the morning and see what a new day brings.
Hopefully it will sort itself out.

The secret of styling a CSS Menu is to use unstyled text in the container and set all styling within the action interface.

Remember there are several places where you can set link styling

1 In the Page Inspector with nothing selected on the page look under the 2nd Tab (paintbrush) for the Link styling section

2 With an HTML item selected look in the same place (HTML Inspector) 2nd Tab and down to the Link styling section

3 The CSS Menu action interface

There are other places too so make sure that you do not have conflicting styles set in different places. Stick to the Menu Action palette

Scrapped it and started again, making sure not to add any styling to the text…and…it works a treat!
