[Pro] CSS menus

Hello
I have tried to build a css menu by doing (in the mastro page) a list in a html item (as reference guide says), so I have applied the css menu action to html item and so I have published the site.
But Freeway told me that it cannot create the css menu because I have wrong something, but it do not says what…
Can you help me? where do you think I have wrong?

Thank you a lot.

Bye
Andrea

Hi all!
Sorry if I ask again for the CSS menu.

Well, I have created the css menu in one page and I have format it, but I would ask you for two questions:

  1. Can I do a css menu in a master page, so I don’t have to reply it for each page?
  2. How can I see the arrow in the menu?

Thanks a lot in advantage.

Bye
Andrea

Andrea,

If the site I’m working on is only a few pages or indeed several I never use a master page, I find them too confusing and a disaster waiting to happen. I create a page then duplicate it, then change the content as required. I’ve yet to need site wide changes were a Master page would come into its own. Some of course work differently and master pages are just part of their workflow.
For the arrows to appear you will require the creation of a sub menu before they appear. Indent then indent again.

Yes you can create a CSS menu in a master page.

In the Action window if you scroll all the way to the bottom, there is a checkbox for the arrow. You can also use your own icon.

If you are having problems understanding Master Pages, please do yourself a huge favor and view the tutorial at the Softpress site. Learning how to use Master Pages is going to save you so much work in the long run. Believe me, I learned the hard way.
