[Pro] CSS submenu lost in a div

Hello all,

I have setup this menu as per the sample. The submenu is not showing in the div its in which is the header wrapper. When I insert the body dive into the header wrapper then the submenu shows.
How do I get the submenu to show and not be lost behind the body div as appears to be occurring?
I reckon it is a basic thing I am overlooking but any pointers would be most helpful.
