[Pro] CSS3 Rollover

I just tried Actionforge’s CSS3Rollover and it works as advertised. However to really be useful to me, I need it to also behave like a normal rollover with the option to have a real click state that stays selected until another CSS3Rollover option is selected. To clarify, I click on button one and the CSS3Rollover makes the button larger and less transparent. Great! However, when I move the cursor off of that image it returns to the original smaller and more transparent state. I’ve tried combining the CSS3Rollover with a regular rollover action and it doesn’t work. Does anyone know how to combine the CSS3Rollover action with a normal rollover action so that that there is a click state and the image does not revert back to its original state until another image is choosen?

Hi Mike,
The action at present is really just a ‘proof of concept’ plaything
and although the rollovers work in most browsers the animation and
transitions are only really available in CSS3 supported browsers. If
you look closely at the example page I put together (http://www.freewayactions.com/test/css3-rollovers/
) you’ll see that where the images overlap they remain incorrectly
ordered when rolled over. That is to say that when active the image
should come to the from of the other icons. At present they don’t and
it makes for an odd user experience. To address this I’ve updated the
action to use JavaScript to re-sort the layers when the image is
rolled on and off. Adding the ability to make certain rollovers
‘sticky’ would also require some JavaScript as well.
I’ll make a note of your suggestion and try and add this functionality
when I next look at the actions.
Regards,
Tim.
