For whatever reason (perhaps Obamacare), things have slowed down for me, so I’ve decided to use my downtime to finally build my own website. After all, if I’m selling website services I should probably practice what I preach.
As all you professional designers know, nothing is more challenging than designing something for yourself. I’m looking for a little inspiration. I’m strongly considering a simple, single main page scrolling design, but I’m open to other ideas.

In reviewing this approach it seems to me like a fixed navigation system is imperative. Some of the sites listed above that don’t have fixed navigation tend to be very cumbersome. Of course, perhaps scrolling, single page sites are old hat these days.
