That’s awesome Tim. It’ll definitely come in handy.

I’ve just created a new Action based on the audio.js code (http://kolber.github.com/audiojs/). The audio.js Action (http://actionsforge.com/actions/edit/245-audiojs) allows you to add mp3s to your site using HTML5’s audio tag (works in most modern browsers including the iPad/iPhone etc) and falls back to using Flash for older browsers.
There appears to be a lot that you can do with the library such as re-skinning the interface and creating playlists but these will have to wait for a later version of the Action. Currently you just need to add the Action to your page and specify the mp3 file or url path and you’re done.

Are there any other Audio Actions that don’t require special coding or uploading elements sans Freeway Pro? I’d like to have more control over an MP3 I have embedded in a webpage using the Background Sound action.
I’d need to look into that. The audio tag supports an autoplay attribute but I’m uncertain if this works in the Flash implementation. I’ll check and if it does I’ll add the option to the Action.

Tim, is there anyway to set the Action to auto play?
Thanks Tim, but I actually found a solution. I just dragged and dropped my mp3 on my webpage and it looks like FWP is using QT, which gives the file full controls. Silly me. I should have known there was an easy fix.
Note that it WILL NOT WORK unless you put it on an HTML5 page!
Next…
Tim, can some or all of the following suggestions please be added SOON?
(Consider that 2.5 years have passed with no updates.)
VOLUME CONTROL. This is the most basic yet sought after feature. Consider well how this HTML5 implementation gives you an audio control in all modern browsers: W3Schools Tryit Editor
AUTOPLAY CHECKBOX. This should be an option via the Actions palette.
