[Pro] Disqus comments text size

How can the point size of text be reduced in size? It seems very large to me. I’m using the Comments Action and it works fine. It would be great to be able to add tweaks within the Action without coding.

I had adjusted my site h3 level style to 12 px (on the understanding from another thread that Disqus would default to the h3 style), but no change resulted. I also cannot apply the h3 style to the Disqus box on the page as it is not a text item.

A solution would be appreciated (that is straightforward). Any thoughts?

Unfortunately Disqus have changed the way things work and style rules on your site no longer affect Disqus content which is displayed in an iFrame. This from Disqus themselves:

For the most part, customization is different in the new Disqus because we decided to completely re-implement our commenting embed inside of an iframe. This iframe is hosted on disqus.com and, as such, the browser won’t let your website apply styles to it using CSS statements.

They then go on to list some reasons. Read more at http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/526768-introducing-the-new-disqus-and-f-a-q-

So you cannot now apply your own styling.

Thanks so much, Dave.

I’ll leave a note for the Disqus developers on their web site about possibly allowing users to customize the text size in posted comments (at the very least).

For all the good it will do you.

It seems that there are plenty of folk that are disgruntled with Disqus for the changes that they brought with the 2012 version - and upset that they were ‘upgraded’ automatically earlier this year.

Many have moved away now that changes have been made and styling control lost.

I think it might be time that SP looked at/for an alternative to actionise.
