[Pro] easy question...how to do..

Hi,

I have an easy question.

There is a site (see below) that when you mouse over the graphic it shows text.

I have duplicated this using rollover with show/hide target like this site…

Mine works great but there is something I want to do just like the link above…

How does he have something in the big box that appears before the person mouses over and then always reappears when the person DOES not mouse over the graphic.

WIth mine, I just have text appear when they mouse over the icons. What I want is there to be text showing in the space, then when they mouse over the show hide target text appears. Then when they move there mouse off icons, the default text shows again.

Is it just that it is going on TOP of the graphic text box already there?

Yes - create a base layer Text box that is always visible and your show/hide layers appear on top of the base layer hiding it.

Dave,

I noticed with his, he has colored background and therefore his text layers can go over.

What if in my case the text does not have any colored background? I am not sure how the text hide layer will be able to go on top?

(I also shortened my welcome down quite a bit- hope it is a little better)

What if in my case the text does not have any colored background?

Then use a section of the image of the smartboard as the background to your appearing text box so that the bg image will mask the text behind.
