[Pro] ecommerce and Freeway

I’m going to be designing a website that will need a large store integrated. Would anyone be happy to show me links websites that have store integration that have been built with Freeway and MalE or Freeway and other store integration?

I just need to decide wether its possible for me to do or poss get a third party involved.

Cheers

Justin,

I use http://www.ecwid.com and love it -

I have 3 on there that use it.

2 under websites (bottom left hand 2)
and the 1 under e commerce.

Hi Justin,
Here are nine Freeway sites that all use the Freeway Shop (Mals)
actions available in Freeway;

It is also worth checking the gallery as new sites are submitted all
of the time;

Regards,
Tim.

Hi,

I have a client who wants a web site to sell hand made jewellery, each item will be unique. I have used Mals and think it is fantastic but I’m not sure it will be suitable for this particular client as they will need to be able to log in at home and upload images and set the prices themselves.

Ecwid looks like it may be suitable, can anyone confirm this is the case or offer any other suggestions?

Many thanks,
Neil

Neil,

Ecwid is awesome! Even clients that are not computer savvy use it without a problem…

There are 2 main differences of the free store and the 17/month… 100 items vs 20,000 and the paid you can give discount coupon codes.

That is all. Customer service is almost as awesome as fwt.
Here is my site with examples of ecwid.

I have recently done an e-commerce site for hand made jewellery utilising the mal’s e-commerce action.

http://www.knowyouronions.net/

Whilst I’m sure Ecwid has it’s benefits it just scared me off when it says ‘paste three simple lines of HTML into your website’s source code’. The main reason I use Freeway is avoid code completely. Mal’s e-commerce is easy to manage and is integrated well with Freeway thru actions.

So, in my case, Mal’s is very suitable.

But not suitable for the owner to upload their own pics/prices.

Yep I will need to have the client run the store. Isn’t Mal-e that easy though - that they could just use?

But can they use FW too? And put you out of a job!

Mals can be used with a CMS like WebYep but there is going to be a learning curve for you both. Probably better to have a look at something like Ecwid - never used it myself but if Julie can then there is hope for the rest of us.

No disrespect meant to Julie there.
