Can someone tell me if this can be converted to use within FWP? Just curious…

I have lists of things to enter into EE to start testing (people, departments). I am wondering if creating the lists in FWP as a drop-list are searchable fields the same as they would if I entered using EE in a weblog.
{I dont know if I am making sense yet on this … pardon me, I am learning yet.}
