Hello all, very informative info here, been through many threads yet still find no joy.

Using 5.3.2, FLV action works fine – just don’t like the skins at all. Would like something plain. The Longtail player is perfect.

Numerous attempts at following instructions on the post:

I have gone to the Longtail wizard, adjusted my parameters and previewed my flv. Looks good.

Copied the code.

Followed the instructions, (both the simple “Billings-way” and the Crowbar style. Nothin’!

Having no luck at all. Get a blank preview page with the line: This text well be replaced, in the upper left corner.

1.) Which Crowbar action of the 3 that are available?
2.) What exact items (files) do I need? Where do they reside?
3.) CSS on or off?

I am building single pages to hold flv’s that will be loaded into a center frame. Going with a frameset as building a master page and using an iframe was not working as hoped (want the master elements, header/footer to be aligned to none – want the middle frame to center the loaded FLV page.

Can someone go over this step by step for a total newbie?

I just saw this a few minutes ago, kind of cool. It appears that the Crowbar action in question is the ‘Inline’ version. I believe it comes in three flavors of Page, Item, or Inline. Then the next step has you paste the javascript code into the Page Header by going to ‘Page’ and then choosing ‘HTML Markup’ and then pasting in “Before ” and then adjusting the URL’s to fit where the files are located. Easy enough.

Have you tried viewing the site online (on an actual server) and see if it loads the content? Perhaps making a subfolder on a server and dumping the stuff in there (also changing the javascript locations to match that folder as well) would do the trick. Sometimes FLV’s won’t play locally. I know I cannot get any of mine to work using slideshowpro, but once I toss them online they seem to do the trick.
