[Pro] Extremely Long Table?

One of the web pages I’m working on contains industry terms. Unfortunately, there are so many terms that the page is more than 3,000 pixels long.

It’s actually pretty easy to scroll through, but I’m wondering if there’s another, better solution. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can we see it?

Much easier to offer a solution then.

This was interesting reading, re data tables.

The author made some comments about long data tables, making them
searchable (though not offering a solution).

I thought maybe link anchors and a small list of contents above the table?

I’ll post a link tomorrow. The website is kind of a disaster right now.

And if the table was alphabetical then A-Z along the top with links to anchors from the different letters.

Sortable Tables

I remember years ago writing about this topic… Digging into my archives, I
came up with this http://cssway.thebigerns.com/legacy/sortables/:
http://cssway.thebigerns.com/legacy/sortables/

Now that was done about 5 years ago, in Freeway 4 – so let me know if it
really needs updating. Also, it may be a good example for another topic on
styling data tables with CSS.

There was also thishttp://cssway.thebigerns.com/legacy/sortables/download/in
the same archive:

Hi Ernie,

Cheers
