The Facebook like box action works really nicely but on one site it is showing two more boxes on the background. I’ve taken the page apart, even renamed the Facebook page name on their site, but the problem persists. Help please.

It appears that you have more than one instance of the action on the page.
Change from Site view to Page view ( LH of your page) and look at all items in the list that have an action icon on them. Select them from the list and see what it tells you in the item inspector - look for duplicates.
