Does anyone know if the Fading Slide Show action will work with FW7 or what to use instead to replace it?

Hello John,
From what I can see it does still function though not within an inline setup. It does work as a layered item.
I 've been using Exhibeo for similar situations in inline setups and it can do the same job.
Not that I’m an expert on such things but hope that this is helpful

Thanks, you are correct I tried to use inline and no luck. Went with the Random Image action and that worked fine. Never been very happy with the Exhibeo. Wait and see what the customer thinks.

I would like to revisit this question. My customer now wants over 30 ads to randomly rotate through with a new ad every time someone visits the home page or hits refresh. I am currently using the Random image action which seems to work. It’s just that customer want a guarantee for his advertisers that there ad will show up. And I need to have every ad link to a corresponding website. Any suggestions?

As long as the Random Image Action is unbiassed it should do the job. If you guaranteed that every ad was served by using a back end that stepped through them, you’d have to guarantee that there was only one visitor repeatedly reloading while trying to demonstrate it. To make sure each visitor sees all the ads you’d need a back end that keeps track of who has seen what by IP or using cookies. Over 1000 visits Random would be fair.
