[Pro] File Copy

Hello all

I want to send a client a File copy of website as Its not live yet.

When I send via email, it does not work properly. I works if I send to myself.
I have tried Dropbox but it will only upload files and no folders
As with You Send it- only files can be sent
anyone have advice about this?
I need to find a way to work with client remotely, with out site being live

Thx

If you zip the file you can send it using any service you want or even use Dropbox. The all your client has to do is unzip and open the index.html file in their browser.

But did you know that if you put your website in the Public folder of Dropbox, right click on the index.html file, copy the public link that you can send this link to your customer by email and that they can see the live website as if it is on a real webserver?

You should not send your customer your Freeway project. You can only open this if you have Freeway installed on your computer.

You should choose to publish your website, not to a webserver, but to a local folder. This is an option you can choose while publishing the Freeway project. If you send this folder containing your published website, your customer should be able to see this opening the index.html fil in a browser.

And if you paste this into your Dropbox folder… (see other post).

Hi,

This was a good one!

/ provided one substitutes the relative links with absolute ones,
esp. for the css - file, and main images.

If your locally published website does not show the images when opening the index.html file in a browser, I’m afraid the links to the images are already missing in your Freeway Project.

If I publish my project locally and put that in my Dropbox I’ve never seen missing images before. No relative/absolute link issues.

Thanks I tested all links and they were correct… The issue was
AOL mail on the clients end and there was a video in file which was too big
so I omitted video and all went smoothly. I have talked them into uploading the video on Vimeo so no loading time
it always working so well for me

thx for help
