[Pro] File download from server

Hi All

It would seem that I have screwed up my file structure on my local Mac.

Is there a way I can down load the files from the server, open them in Freeway and edit them. Or do I have to rebuild the whole site??

Regards

Lee

If you mean from your web host, nope. Freeway can import html files but it is seriously flawed function and not worth the hassle even trying.

What about the FW backup that is automatically created for you?

Hold down the Option Key and File>Open Backup.

Hi All

Thanks for your answers. I’ve been able to get my problem sorted but now when I go into any FW folder with a site that I have designed, ALL the html files are greyed out and I cant open them.

Any ideas??

Thanks for your help

Freeway is not an HTML editing application. You can’t open a .html
file with it – only a .freeway file. Freeway documents do not contain
any HTML at all, only the instructions for generating HTML. The
Freeway document is a much much richer and more precise page layout
language than HTML, and the publishing process can be though of
abstractly much like explaining particle physics to a three year-old.

So essentially if the the fwbackup doesn’t work, you’re going to have to redo it.

You shouldn’t be going into the Site folder at all!

It is the something.freeway files you want to open.
