Does anyone know why the newest FireFox won’t display the JW flash player. Earlier versions displayed it fine, but not the latest 2 or 3.

All work fine with FF 3.6, IE 7/8 and Chrome on a PC running XP. IE takes ages to load but then thats why its cr… .
Have you tried emptying your cache ?

It could be 64 bit mode. Safari 5 won’t display the players either, but you can start it up in 32 bit mode and it works fine. I read on the Adobe site that flash doesn’t run in 64 bit. Maybe Fire Fox is 64 bit…

Well, I just tried FF 3.6.8 on my non intel G5 and it works fine. So, is this a Snow Leopard thing, or is my iMac playing up?

Hi Colin,
I know you said you don’t have one installed but try going to Tools>Add-ons in Firefox and disabling everything then refreshing your pages. I’ve seen extensions preventing things from working so many times before.

Hi Joe, it’s a fresh install with no addons. I did check just in case there was something from a previous version but found nothing. Just had a look at the error pages and the player is greyed out…
