[Pro] FLV looks terrible after "insert > FLV Player"...

Hi folks,

I converted a high-res .mov file to an FLV file successfully. The FLV file looks great via a desktop player (VLC) but when import it via “INSERT > FLV PLAYER” and push it up to my host server as my home front page splash graphic it’s terribly degraded. Any thoughts as to why? Somewhat new to Freeway…stumped here.

Huge thanks in advance!

Can we see it somewhere?

If the movie has a 4:3 ration then there is a known issue with using ActionScript 3. We’ve fixed this internally so it will be available soon, in the meantime try switching the ActionScript type to 2. If that’s not the cause of the problem then post a link so we can see what is.

Thanks a ton guys.

The site is www.engineworks.net however I have a clean QT file in use presently as the front page logo splash where I would like to have an FLV version of the same.

I can’t put up the FLV version of the splash animation file because it looks degraded (that’s my problem) and I can’t have that go public for any length of time. I’ll look into Joe’s suggestion and report back.

Again the converted FLV file looks fine played from my desktop but degrades once embedded and pushed up to my servers.
