[Pro] Following actions not found in 'Help' or 'manual'

Hallo gentlemen,

Just a couple of actions have me asking what on earth they are, the rest I can deduce from their name. But these are not covered at all by any of the Freeway manuals:

Fill master? I saw it in action and wondered what on earth is the difference between this, and filling with a background colour?

Attention FX and the other two FX’s? Music or football?

Chroma Key? My backdoor key with the same colour as my front bumper?

Buttons? obviously something you ‘Push’ but what?

Advanced Fade? well something fades, how advanced is this?

I can not try them out because obviously one has to go through certain steps to get this action. So i have no choice but to ask. They really should be in the manual.

Kind Regards

Chris

Advanced Fade is easy to try out without a manual. Just make a graphic box, put a picture in, and apply the action. To see why it’s advanced, try swapping it with the Fade action. Very useful for making header images with text on one side

Hi Chris,

Fillmaster: Add gradients instead of one color, play with it.

Attention and Music FX, to me personal child play. The transition FX is more advanced and useful. I have it on my personal page as the navi btns.

Chroma key? Never touched.

Buttons. Styling support - not more. Make it “submit” and it could happen something.

Advanced fade: Another style support to achieve for example the glass reflection things.

A lot of them are there so you don’t need to touch photoshop (or similar). Personal I stopped working with these and build my things in Photoshop - that amount of time must be.

Cheers

Thomas

Yeah Chris. Those were part of Freeway’s FASTGraphics Pack and they pretty much helped you make graphics without having to use an external editor like Photoshop or Pixelmator.

Good Morning Thomas and Dan, Thankyou, that clears that up. That’s actually a pity - what a waste of space. Freeway managers should really place these in a seperate category called "Action - Editing’ and keep Html and CSS actions apart in their category and call that “Action - HTML” and another “Action - Media”. That would keep the drop down shorter and much easier understood and very very manageable indeed.

This would then make a good update I think.

Kind Regards
Chris.

Just a personal note to Dan, Hallo, wanted to say a big thankyou for your two free tutorial videos. I was a regular with Lynda.com for two years learning more than I could ever have learned even if I had a library of books and countless forums. This is the most effective way for most people to learn and the only way in which I find then that I really learn. So I was delighted to be able to feel at home here. By the way, Lynda.com are always looking for tutors for new products, when I first came across Freeway I immediately looked to see if it was on Lynda.com. Anyway They pay, they are adobe certified and very professional, when a new product is in Beta the big boys send it to them and they have tutorials ready at the moment it is released - How is that for service. Also Freeway would receive publicity probably like it has never had before?

And I would become a pro in no time!!!

Kind regards and hope you are in for a happy christmas

Chris
