[Pro] Font issue

Every font I’ve tried in Freeway looks terrible: jagged edges, inconsistent sizing and spacing. I have Freeway 6 and am working on a Macbook pro with retina. Could there be a conflict with mavericks?

Where does it look jaggity or spacey? In your browser or in the Freeway Pro
app?

If in the app, then likely everything is fine. AFAIK, the Freeway Pro
interface itself is not retinafyed. Even on a regular monitor the workspace
looks hideous.

If your type looks jaggity and spacey in the browser (or preview) then that
is something we maybe can fix. Especially if you publish it to the web
somewhere we can see it.

Thanks for your response. The type does look jagged in preview. Unfortunately, it is not up on the web yet. I haven’t gotten that far. Any other ideas?

Sorry, but without being able to see what you’re seeing or inspect what the
app is doing, I’d simply be guessing.

You could contact the manufacturer (Softpress) directly about it, but my
guess would be they would also ask for some way of seeing what you’re
seeing - a file or some output. Unless it is a common occurrence, then they
might have an established way of dealing with this.

Is your text “graphic” text? That is, is it text Freeway is rendering
graphically? Also, try previewing in your browser - text rendering is a
system function, apps like Freeway may just not cut the mustard on their
own for that.

Best of luck.

Until it is on the web then reserve judgement. FW is WYSIWYG in some respects but not as far as Retina displays.

There are also other factors here that we have no clue about such as Graphic vs Html Text, Font choice, anti-aliasing etc.

Until we can see a live example I would be a fool to guess where your issue lies.
