[Pro] Font Problem

I just rebooted my computer and my font selection has gone haywire in a website I have been working with for over 2 years. It is not recognizing them and wanting to replace fonts that are already turned on. This is a huge problem as this is an 85 page site. By the way, this isn’t the only site. It is trying to do this to all the sites I launch.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Your help is appreciated in advance.

Clark,

I have run into a similar problem in both Freeway and InDesign. For me
it has generally been that I have very little free memory left. I can
correct this in one of two ways. Either repair permissions via disk
utility or just rebooting. My system is 10.6.4.

One additional thought, do you use font management software such as
Suitcase, I upgraded my suitcase recently and I had to do quite a lot of
fiddling with my font library to get everything working again!

I scrapped Suitcase a few years ago and am happy with using built-in
Font Book. Works well for ma.

Thanks Guys,
I am presently using Linotype Explorer for font management. It has worked fine until now. I actually moved the specific fonts into my System folder font set and that seems to have corrected the problem for now. I will go in and try the repair permissions under disk utility when I finish some critical changes.

If you’re using a font manager of any type, remember that you have to quit and restart Freeway (not the Mac) between any font set changes. Any changes you make after starting Freeway will be summarily ignored within Freeway. It doesn’t matter if you make changes while Freeway is running or not, but it does matter that you quit and restart Freeway after any changes.
