[Pro] Form not working on IE (any version), Please Help!

Could you cut down this Freeway document to a single page – just the form on a page – and send it to me off-list? You can find many ways to contact me by clicking on my name in the header of any message on the Web forum, or by using your mail application to “reply to sender”.

I just did this trick with a form I made inline within a single text box, and it worked fine. But your layout is a lot more complex, and there may be something that my Actions don’t touch because of that. I’d like to fix this, since it would make the Action more useful for more people.

Done, and fixed. You were “this” close, as Maxwell Smart might say.

Thanks a lot Walter!

I have a question:

You know how I have a page called “_Error” in case the form fails, is there a way to detect (and notify) if the form shows blank?

I ask because IE might change (or even FW) and I don’t want to find out who knows how long after that the form is not working (that is what happened to me).

Thanks again,

Emilio

The easiest way to spot if the site is not working correctly for
everyone would be to look at your server traffic statistics and see if
there is a noticeable difference between the number of requests for
the partial and the outer page. Remember, these will be two separate
hits, the outer page will send a second request for the partial, and
that will be logged by your server separate from the first. Now some
difference between these numbers is to be expected – after all, the
whole reason you wanted to do this was to keep the robots from seeing
your form. So if robots make up a large part of your audience, expect
that number to drop. But if you see a nearly 100% disparity between
the outer and partial pages in your logs, you might want to
investigate. Go over to the Costco and look at your site on one of
their PCs for sale.

Good idea

I use your Free Counter 2 and tried to apply it to the “form” in different ways, but could not make it work, because is not an actual page.

Since it is your program, is there a way to make it work.

I check weekly FC2 and it would be great.

Thanks again,

Emilio

No, you would need to do this on your server, I don’t think FC or
Google Analytics would do the job.
