[Pro] Freeway fails to launch

I’ve tried everything suggested on the software website. It STILL crashes as soon as I try to open it. I even tried the 5.5 trial. This too crashes. Any insight?

Try creating a new User account in your System Preferences, log out of
your current user (last option in the Apple menu) and log in as that
new user. Then see if the application (either your current one or the
5.5 trial) will launch. If it does, then you have some detective work
to do in your current user account.

Perhaps it’s a corrupted font, since that happens to be one of the
first things that Freeway does during launch – go through all active
fonts and prepare them for its use. Your new user account will only
have the Apple-supplied fonts active, so that’s one way to tell. If
you want to investigate the fonts angle, try disabling half of your
current NON-APPLE fonts (I shout because Finder really hates it when
you launch without certain fonts.) If Freeway launches, then quit it
again, re-enable half of the fonts you just disabled, and try again.
If it crashes, then disable half of the fonts you just enabled. If it
doesn’t, then enable half again of the remaining disabled fonts. This
is called a fast sort, and it’s a very quick way to figure out where a
problem is without trying all of the possible combinations of fonts
one at a time.

Another could be that your preferences files are corrupted somehow.
Look through your ~/Library/Preferences folder (the tilde means it’s
your Library folder, not the one at the root of your main disk
drive). First, quit Freeway. Next, drag anything that has the string
com.softpress in its name out to the desktop and start Freeway up
again. If it makes it through that, then you’ve just lost your
preferences (how you like your palettes, any custom font sets, etc)
but you can get on with your work.
