[Pro] Freeway Pro for mobile device

We have build our site in Freeway Pro and I am wondering about mobile devices.

In fact we never had taken into account mobile devices as we had to get the site up and running than asap.
But we notice with goole analytics what device visitors use and more and more are using tables.
Mobile phones are also used but we realize that for our business and type of products, mobile phones will be less obvious to be used for a purchase as most products are to large to be well judged on a phone screen.

What from technical point of view should we consider altering, what adjustment in setting for example. Or is it not needed and is FW Pro 6 already tablet friendly?

Tablet covers a wide swath of devices, from the latest iPad Air to the lowest-common-denominator Android 2 knock-off from some sad sweatshop in the third world. If you are dealing with a modern browser, like MobileSafari or Chrome, then you don’t need to do anything at all, outside of thinking about screen size and orientation. Test your site in a 1024 x 768 window, at both vertical and horizontal orientation. See how it looks (likely just fine). You can fake this quite easily by creating two images at both dimensions, then loading them into your desktop browser and changing the window until it just fits. Then load your site. But better than that, go to your nearby big-box store and look at your actual site on the actual devices. See what fine details are being lost, and remove them or adjust them. Take notes, or better, take photos of the display for the ultimate “ground truth” about your site in these foreign lands.

The other thing to think about on these devices is total file size. Many portable devices have shockingly low amounts of RAM, and no swap to speak of, so they can’t deal with a massive multi-megabyte load of images very well. You already spend time thinking about this anyway, but it’s helpful to turn on “Show file sizes” in the Site sidebar and try to trim down the bloat. Background images can and should be compressed into near-oblivion. Over-complex layout structures should be simplified whenever possible to their “in-flow” equivalent, which will also help your site perform its best if the font sizes are silently adjusted by these devices for enhanced readability at small screen sizes.

In short, mobile devices take the normal truth about Web design (it’s not your browser, you don’t control how things will really look) and turns that up to 11.

Walter, thanks for your explaining

We will get some deeper in the browsers used by visitors in a combination with the devices they use.
We will also check from several locations on several devices.

But to be short from what I understand, there is no drastic measures to be taken, before having analyzed the above.
