The extremely frustrating thing with FW uploads was demonstrated again when after some 2 hrs the upload failed with just several files remaining.
The other thing to consider here is that if you are doing manual uploads (via Transmit etc.) then FW will view those files as having changed and want to reupload them again when it comes to its turn.
Thus perpetuating the process.
Stick to one or the other.
