[Pro] Full background proportional by Ian Webb

Hallo, this action: full background Proportional by Ian Webb of March 2009. I downloaded it thinking that it would be straight forward, but no matter what way i try and place my background image I can never get this action to become visible in the pull down menu for available actions. Should have come with a little explanatory text maybe?

Anybody used this? Hallo Ian if you are there?

The action appears in the Page menu under Actions. You apply it to a page, not an object.

Yes I know, but then I get : “Parameter has no value, the following actions have a parameter which requires a value”

I have no clue what this means, it seems a very generic phrase without specifics.

Thanks

Ok OK got it. Sorry thankyou and sorry again. If only sometimes freeways dialogue warnings would be more intuitive. IE, you forgot to designate values in the actions palette. OR please go to actions palette and set parameters. I mean Adobe does it.

OK I’m moaning, but you must admit I am right?

Thanks Chuckamuck.

Have you opened up the Actions palette, and looked to see what if any
interface there is for this Action? This error means that you left
something incomplete there.

Like most other things in Freeway, this palette is contextual – it
shows the related Actions for any selection – so if you want to see
the Page Actions’ interface, you would click on the page name in the
site pane, if you wanted to see an Action applied to an HTML box on
your page, you would click once on that box to select it (handles
showing on sides and corners).

There are very few Actions that don’t require you to do something in
this palette, so I tend to just leave it open all the time.

Thanks Walter for re-inforcing my memory here. Need to develope habits, they are coming along though. Good idea though to keep that actions pane open.

Totally unrelated and purely an observation, it would be nice if Freeway programmers could alter the state where when you have another software utility up, such as a text editor or photoshop or whatever, when you click on the other software window, any action or inspector windows that were open in Freeway dissappear behind. I know they come back automatically, but it is a minor irritation.

regards
Chris
