[Pro] Godaddy and the PHP form not working

Hi, I can see this have been discussed already but I cant seem to find the answer amongst all the replies (at least one I can understand). I just uploaded a standard contact form using the Freeway action and its not working? I just get the error page. Is it correct that Godaddy does not understand these PHP actions? Or is there a work around or…

Please help I have a client screaming at me and Im not technical at all (hence using Freeway) - I dont know what to do!!!

Thanks in advance Justin

Hi Justin,
The latest version of the action (version 2.3) has settings that
attempt to get the script working with GoDaddy. Unfortunately without
direct access to a GoDaddy account these settings I can’t test them
directly but they do everything they suggest to getting your forms
working with PHP.
The action also contains a ‘debug’ setting that asks the server to
report back all errors that the script may produce on the server. If
you hit an error, and you have debug switched on then you should see
the errors on the resulting web page. Perviously these were hidden
from view.
I would suggest raising a ticket with GoDaddy and ask them to supply
you with a sample PHP file that they know works on your server
configuration. If you send me that file I’ll compare it to the action
and see if they are doing anything unusual.
Regards,
Tim.

Hi, I am using the new form action and I’m now getting this error, with or with out the debugging on?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in D:Hosting4933769htmlcontact-go.php on line 114

I have the freeway support on the case also. I only have access to FTP within godaddy and not the customer account details etc - though I could get my client to get in touch?
